Eng. Darshana Bandara

Eng. Darshana Bandara is a highly experienced Chartered Engineer with over 17 years of expertise spanning telecommunication engineering and tertiary education. He currently serves in several key capacities, including Programme Leader for Bachelor of Engineering programmes and Lecturer at the Nebula Institute of Technology. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he is employed as an Engineer (Data Technology & Services) at SLT-Mobitel and serves as Centre Manager of the Kandy Centre of the Nebula Institute of Technology.

Eng. Bandara’s academic background is built on a strong foundation in engineering. He commenced his technical education by obtaining a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. He is a graduate of both the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) one of the country’s leading engineering institutions and the Engineering Council, UK, with a specialization in Electronics, Communication, and Computer Engineering.

To complement his technical expertise with managerial and entrepreneurial competencies, he pursued postgraduate qualifications in business and innovation, earning an MBA from London Metropolitan University, UK, and an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Asia e University, Malaysia. His contributions to higher education are further recognized through his Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK, reflecting his commitment to teaching excellence and academic practice.

Eng. Bandara is also a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK.
